Treats/Chews

Treats

Stewarts Freeze Dried Salmon

This is on of our dogs favorite treats. They are extremely high value and we use them for teaching important commands, like come. We also give them sparingly here and there because our dogs would go through them way too fast if we let them. Stewarts makes other freeze dried treats that we use and love but Salmon is a favorite

Raw Paws Training Treats

We use specific treats for training. We like small, soft pieces that can be eaten easily and quickly so our dogs/puppies do not lose focus during training.

Buddy Training Treats

This is another training treat we use and our dogs like!

Bocce’s Treats

We are picky about what is in our dogs food and treats/chews. Generally if there is a brand that we find that we like (not very common) we will post them here just because its a good option and our dogs love the variety.

Raw Rewards Freeze-Dried Treats

I am listing these under both our treat section and supplement section. Green lipped muscle is great for joint health but our dogs also love them like a treat. This brand also makes other freeze dried options like beef, minnows, shrimp, chicken, and fish.

Pupford Freeze Dried Dog Training Treats

I find that most freeze dried treats are too big for training treats. Pupford’s Freeze dried treats are small enough for training. They also have a good variety of flavors/meats to pick from.

Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Dog Treats- Minnows

Freeze Dried Minnows- I know this sounds weird, but seriously TRY THEM (your pup not you).

Buddy Biscuits

We do not give a lot of biscuit type treats, mainly because our dogs don’t love them as much as chewy treats or freeze dried. However, this is the one biscuit that our dogs like and we give them often right before bed time.

Buddy Softies

For our dogs who do not love the buddy biscuits, we give these. They are a great soft and chewy treat.

Chews

Raw Bones

Our first choice for chews is raw bones. Do not give cooked or smoked bones. We like to give raw knuckle bones, lamb bones, chicken necks, turkey necks, etc. They are harder to find. We don’t love giving marrow bones unless they are split in half (they are a weight baring bone and are harder to chew). We have a local supplier that carries OC Raw, but you can try raw feeding miami, or local butcher shops.

None of our dogs require dental cleanings because we do give bones to keep their teeth clean, however, if your dog is a hard chewer and might break its tooth on a bone we suggest chews that are softer.

Native Pet Yak Chews

Yak Chews are a great chew with minimal ingredients. They are harder so i do not give these to puppies. Any dog who breaks pieces off is probably better off with a different chew. These should last awhile. When they get to a small piece there is no need to waste the small end to prevent choking. Pop it in the microwave to turn it into a puff.

Yeti Puff

When your yak chew gets too small and becomes a choking hazard, you can microwave the small piece and it turns into a puff. We like to use the Yeti to stick the small pieces into and it creates a longer lasting puff.

Water Buffalo Horn

Water Buffalo horns are long lasting. We do not suggest and antlers because they are too hard and not forgiving. These horns are hard but still soft enough that their teeth can sink into it.

Pig Snout

Pig Snouts are a great chew, they do not last a long time for adults but last awhile for puppies. They are great for dogs who cannot chew on super hard things. Be careful about who you purchase from, notice that these are not bleached where most are.

Jack & Pup Beef Collagen Stick

Collagen sticks are a longer lasting chew and they also are beneficial to your pup. They are similar to bully sticks.

Jack & Pup Bully Stick

Our dogs love bully sticks, they are longer lasting, especially for puppies. Our adults go through them faster but are good for occasional chew.

Wobocado Bully Stick Holder

This is great for holding the bully stick or collagen sticks. This keeps the dog from getting to a super small piece and choking.
